1. Nature of the Site
Metairie Residents Directory is an independent reference to Jefferson Parish and Louisiana rolls, indexes, and historical collections. It is not affiliated with a government office, court, library, or custodian and does not host their records.
2. Rules for Using This Site
Use the site only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or anything found through it, to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make FCRA-regulated decisions (credit, employment, tenant, insurance)

3. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
This site is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. ยง 1681 et seq.). Nothing here, and nothing any linked search tool returns, is a consumer report, and none of it may be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other FCRA-covered purpose.
4. External Services
Separate policies govern official portals, sponsored tools, and other linked services. Their availability, prices, content, and data handling are outside our control.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is supplied "as is" and "as available." We give no warranty that information is complete, current, or accurate, or that a linked system will remain available or return a correct match.
6. Limits on Our Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this site or any linked resource, including decisions made from records found through it.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operators of this site from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your misuse of the site or violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original text, design, logo, and layout of this site are protected by copyright. Linking to any page and quoting brief excerpts with attribution is welcome; republishing full pages or systematically copying content is not.
9. Changes
A revised version may be posted here. Continued use after that posting indicates acceptance.
10. Cutting Off Access
We may block or restrict any user who violates these terms or abuses the site, at our discretion and without notice.
11. Governing Louisiana Law
Louisiana law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. References to public access concern Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., including the right of access in R.S. 44:31 and custodian procedures in R.S. 44:32. Those statutes do not turn this private site into a public custodian.
12. Severability
If any part of these terms proves unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
13. Questions
